16-05-2008, Friday - SUMMIT going on

My last day at crown.... I had discussions with Rahul, Jofin, Sanoop, Arjun n Dawns at Crown on SUMMIT. Also, the great puli ATM was also with us. I think this discussion were very much fruitful and creative, as far as I am concerned. We could even discuss an over all idea about the web site of SUMMIT 08!!!!

Also, we could set an idea regarding the corporate presentation also. The flash works might also be done along with HTML in the web page, we concluded. The concepts those arose in the discussion were very thrilling. GRID was suggested to be th theme for the event and SPIDER as the mascot. Another suggestion was to choose any cartoon character(new one) as mascot. And in intro, we suggested, to introduce the mascot as a mutt, looking at the steps and jumping on them. On each step, he may earn Gems and the name of the event may be shown there as in games.... It's generally accepted. I suggested to show Prize money on earning Gems, but all said that the former is better. I admitted, but still I think the latter would do better.

During the discussions, Sanoop fell to comment that IEEE in our college has not risen to the expectations of the students of our college. I dunno if it'd hurt anyone present there, as Rahul and Arjun were there. IS it true? I dunno, as I am not involved in such thoughts and still, I have not evaluated or am none to, the activities of IEEE in my institution. Well, it goes....

Now, I am at MH. Rahul came for chat and said that he'd something to tell me. But as many people were here, I couldn't chat with him. ATM went back to home, as he'd got some requirements at home.

A happy news for me is that I could 'hack' Rakesh's Gmail and Jijil's two Gmail IDs. It's just simple. I wonder Internet accounts are not safe; even I could get into another one's account, without a bit of technical knowledge. I dunno if it can be called 'hacking'. Actually I just wanted to practise that technique; that's all. I didn't make any harm to anyone. I did all these with the permissions of the owners. Raku asked me how I did it and I answered on a condition that he shouldn't pervade this technique so that others would turn against me....

The above incident happened yesterday. Yesterday night, I could do the same with Rahul's ID too. He had challenged me to do it. But, it's so sad that I couldn't log on to his frequently used account. I could get into coder233@gmail.com only, which he rarely uses. He said that he's practised all such tricks with his friend's ID long back, even.

Today, I am now uploading the videos taken by Cherian Chetan. It's all about 2008 batch and the incredible college CEC!!! I have no words to explain that video and the incredible personality Mr. Cherian. He's known as Megastar Cherian and I do not wonder why it's. He's real a genius.... I expected the work to be of first water, and still it's something beyond that. Really great!!!! Congrats to him... You know, we juniors became the fan of Mr. Cherian in our first year in the college itself... He's really awesome. He also included a making scene video too. He told me that I shouldn't publish the video till tomorrow, because he'll publish the video just tomorrow only. Actually, as there's no college day conducted by the senate, S-8 guys are conducting it by themselves with the consent from the Principal. No other S-8 guy is supposed to see the video till tomorrow morning. That's why.. But I am going home so I am uploading the video now in Youtube by converting the file to .mp4 from .wmv. One of the files was of 146 MB and the other 126 MB. After conversion, they were of 6.4 MB and 4.6 MB respectively. Now it's simple to upload the files using Youtube multi-uploader, as Raku said.

I am going back to home tomorrow early in the morning in 5:40 AM's passenger with Prince and Sanoop. Prince is coming to EKM, as his father's ATM (it's with him) lost and he wants to apply for a new one. He says that I should be with him, but actually I need to be at my branch before 12 noon, as I have to invest cash from my account to Echaayan's account(My ATM is lost and I have to pay rent to Crown. Oh... today was my last day at Crown. And Sarath has deposited his money too to my account. I have to withdraw it and put it to Echaayan's accont before 12 noon. Tomorrow is a Saturday na; so, bank transactions will be upto 12 noon, I think). Sanoop said that he'll bring his PC also, from Thamara. He's accompanying us in tomorrows journey till Kottayam. Thanks to him for helping me to bring my bags from Crown to MH. It's a tedious job indeed.

Today, I saw Mr. George Peter, of S-6 batch. We had a small talk with each other about SUMMIT. He gave some general directions regarding sponsorship and all. He also said that today there was an initial meeting of their batch regarding Campion 08 (Intra IHRD Football 5's fest conducted by CEC every year). But no committee has been selected so far. One point which he pointed was: "The planning committees in our college are always excellent. Planning will also be very professional. But the work may not come to the active region. Plannings gets to the worst real there", he said. I agree to him.

14-05-2008, Wednesday - SSLC Results Published

Even though my exams are over, I've still not gone home. I dunno why. SUMMIT works are going on. But it's not why I don't go home. I dunno why. Akhil Dev goes home today with Najeeb.

That girl, I specified in yesterday's blog, called me today. I was so happy to see that she's calling me again. She asked if I am unhappy or even sad. I said "NO", even though I knew I was lying. She called me at night saying that her best friend asked her to call me and say "SORRY". I don't believe in those SORRIES, as they might not make any sense to me. Doing certain things intentionally and saying Sorry then..... it's not good as far as my very little knowledge and sense is concerned. OK leave it.

Arjun, Akhil n Deepak Devanand came to Crown after noon. We discussed a bit regarding rules of events and all. Then the discussion diverted or was diverted to other topics. Still, I feel that we guys are not professionals in doing such things. We must show much more professionalism.

Today some seniors like Josephettan approached Dawns n Prince and asked them not to go for the Arts that might be conducted by S-8 guys on 17th. Then Dawns replied that we have not got any information regarding the Arts Day so far. Prince replied, "we guys have gone and helped in whatever the S-6 guys have asked for. Then why shouldn't we go if S-8 guys invite us". This seems to be an intellectual, but a bit dangerous question.

S-7 results are out. Most of the seniors are full-pass. Only a few are having one or two supplies. Now we are awaiting our S-3 result. They say that it'll be out within a month.

Today SSLC Results are published. Shanavas' brother has got one back paper, as he caught Chicken pox during exams. and it's maths too. Rahul's sis has got nice marks, as far as I know. I've come to know about none others' results. I haven't called Prakashan Sir and asked how the results are...

Actually, it's supposed to be published on last 9th, but due to Minister for Edn. Mr. M.A. Baby's personal interest towards the number 13, today was chosen for the publishing of results. And it's amazing to see that the Pass percentage is 92.09. In BVHS 116 students have passed out of 120, in which 1 was absent for the whole exam. This year was priorly declares as "Kaaryakshamatha Varsham" and the media say that the result is this much for the justification of the same or to show that the government has won in implementing the vision.

I heard that a studnet could win in Mathematics by scoring just 4 marks in the theory paper, as there was an unwritten order for the school officials to give maximum internals for the students who were likely to fail. Also, two high mark questions, that too from the toughest portions of Mathematics, were given full credit at the evaluation camp for those who have just attempted, as the questions were given wrong in the question paper. This enabled the students pass the exam even by scoring such a poor mark like 4!!! I pity.....!!!!

Prakashan Sir has been calling me these days, and he's asking me to go there. Yea, now I supppose there'll be only +2 SAY coaching, as the pass % of SSLC is very high. Let's see. And for those who don't know me: I have been teaching Mathematics in a reputed firm at Nayarambalam - Prayaga College and Computer Academy - for last two years for the SSLC and PLUS TWO students for SAY examination. Last year 35 out of my 36 students passed the exam. I am proud of it, too....

Some guys whose lab exams are not over, asked me to give the Viva Questions. Mr. Reju John has been asking almost the same questions to all. He was there for A, C, D Batches in DE Lab. So, I uploaded 30 questions, collected from others too, to my page. Some people even called me and said "thanks, thanks a lot"; I am happy. However, all are complaining about my bad aesthetic sense in web designing. Ah me...!!! I've got a lot to work with it...

07-05-2008, Tuesday - Sleepless Night

Today I got up very late as usual. Rahul and Sanoop came to my hostel in the evening. Rahul said that we had to prepare the final proposal. I agreed and we started at 8 P.M. It was a little difficult to prepare one, even though one has already been prepared before.

Sanoop and Rahul worked very well that we could prepare a well-organized proposal before the morning, consisting of almost all the details of SUMMIT '08 in 25 pages. I am very happy that I didn't sleep a wink last night and the whole time was dedicated for SUMMIT. Basically, I am a lazy person who always needs a 'pull' from others to get into action. It was very nice to be with both of them, really nice.

Rahul told that I have been using dots (........) very much and it's bad too. However, it's the part of my typing style, but I am trying to change it. Perhaps, this might be my first blog without dots. hehehe....

30-04-2008, Wednesday - DS Exam n Farewell to seniors

Tofay was DS exam..... Very nice, even though I hadn't studied well..... Kanjan, Amal etc were in my hall and they happened to see I was buying so many additional sheets (7 or 8, I don't remember) and it was the thread for everything else for the rest of the day......

Even though EC HOD Nisha Miss asked us not to conduct a launch for the juniors, we knew that we wouldn't get them in this academic year any more. So, we decided to go to their class rooms after 4 P.M and meet them and give them an intro about SUMMIT. But only two classes were there: C and D batches. We got into the class after 4 P.M and gave them an intro. During this time, all other staffs were at the auditorium, as farewell to the seniors were being conducted there..... Also, we approached Deepa miss of EC department to be the staff advisor of SUMMIT '08. But she refused and said that she was not sure if she'll be available next year, as she's planning to do Ph.D along with Nisha Miss..... Also, she said that there were lots of other problems that she couldn't tell us and she's lots of limits too...... Before, Nisha miss had asked Liju Philip sir if he could be the staff in charge and he'd agreed too.... During this incident, Deepa miss was also there, Arjun said. Deepa miss, when we approached, suggested Liju sir's and Philip Cherian sir's names too.... But she's agreed to conduct the Exhibition proposed by PRODDEC, which was earlier fixed to be conducted in August, along with SUMMIT '08. As of now, exhibition will be conducted for first two days and SUMMIT for the next three days.... Arjun says that it'll be good to earn more local sponsorship, to which I too agree....

Today was the farewell given by the third years to the last years..... They are very sad, as usual, to leave the college...... The seniors arranged a set of candles, as in the movie "Happy Days - (Once in life time)", which tells the story of some engineering students..... It seems to be a wonderful and heart-touching scene.....




As always I am reluctant in writing this diary too... I am always interested in writing diaries in the beginning of a year, but loose interest soon.... That too might have happened in this e-diary also......

28-04-2008, Monday - SUMMIT launch cancelled

We had planned to conduct a launch program for our juniors of SUMMIT '08. I had taken print outs of the agenda too. But it's when I reached the college that I came to know that Electronics HOD Ms. Nisha said that it's not possible to conduct such a program as the proposal has not been assented by the principal so far. What to do......

At college, I met Rahul... He's a little busy with some stock-clearance of IEEE library and so and so..... I am happy to see the change that has occurred to him.... I know that he'll read this blog entry, however, I would say that he was a bit shy to interact with people, especially in the crowd when he reached the college. Amal had always been speaking about him, as a boy with an innocent character. But as he assumed the charges of IEEE V.C, some of my friends, even including me, had a doubt if he could shine in that post..... But the change was amazing..... He's now changed a lot and this is what suits him the best..... Hats off dear friend.... you could break all the expectations.... and you have proven that you are the one to be in that position. When the decision to choose a V.C was on heat, we all could suggest his name and this seems to be a great thing for me.... He says, now, that IEEE is his life n soul..... Oh god.......!!!! I was just going through his Orkut profile........ huhuhuhuh.........


Amal is at M.H to give a company for Prince. Even if all are there, Prince, I think, seems to be marooned there.... Nobody else from our batches is there to give him a company in his studies.... Those who we suppose to be there with him are................ I pity. I don't wanna write more about this here.....

Ikkakka's Cybershot DSC-W30 got damaged. Melvin'd asked for that camera to give to Sharon, magazine editor, to take some pics of his classmates. Aniz, at first, hesitated to give, but last he gave it and asked to take maximum care.... But Aniz got it back today damaged. Some spring is missing or like that...... Now, he's in search of some Service Centres of Sony.... He also has a complaint, which I too agree, that some people here use it very carelessly..... I too have seen it many times......


Today at college, I saw Deepa miss' son, a little naught chweet boy of 4-5 age..... I liked him very much..... Alok, Esha n Nighna were also at the college for combine study... Alok said that Sharon chetan has asked to poll Rs.100 each as an initial fund for the magazine. I told him that I am ready to give all my efforts, but I've already got myself out from the magazine committee... Then Alok said that I must be there..... I told him that I cannot assure, as I have classes for SAY exams and all at Prayaga during vacation. And I have improvement exams for Maths, C Programming and TCSS in July.....


The last date for submission of completed S-5 Registration forms is noticed as 03-05-2008. And the last day to remit the fee is 03-07-2008. The classes will begin on 01-07-2008. I saw this notice when I went to the college.... I could inform all others through the SMSGUPSHUP group of my class: DCEC2010......... I am happy......


Actually, Khalid thinks that Jishad is going to be his room mate at MH. But I came to know that Jishad is gonna be the room mate of Sumith. They have planned it already. Khalid, before some days, had told me in a very emotional manner about some of his problems and that Jishad's not been speaking to him these days and all... I asked Jishad, but he denied all these. Now, I've asked Jishad to go to Khalid and tell him that he's not going to be his room mate so that Khalid can seek for some one else.

Today Sarath gave an application to the A.O (Administrative Officer) of CEC to get his sister 's(Salini) consolidated mark list. She's scored around 65% in whole B.Tech(EC). She was a student of CEC during the year 1999-2003. Actually, she was enrolled at Kallooppara Engineering college, but later after one or two year all her batch mates had to shift to CEC, because of some branch fall or something like that. She's now working at IBS Technologies, Leela Infopark, Kakkanad, Cochin. He's planned to send it in Speed post tomorrow.

28-04-2008, Sunday - SUMMIT works going on

Summit works are going on..... Arjun messaged me that he has arranged a meeting for the juniors just to give them an idea about what SUMMIT is. He says that tomorrow is the last day we can have them in this academic year 'coz they will leave the college on 30th. However, I, Akhil Dev n Dawns John went to the college and discussed what to say tomorrow..... We are happy that we could prepare an agenda..... Hmmm... well...... then I saw Esha, Vasu n Karthika studying there... Ullas was also with them..... We all were at the half-built part of the college.... It's heard that works of the rest of the parts of the college is gonna restart... Actually, it's because of some legal issues regarding the labour cost that the work couldn't continue...... it's been in this state for last many years.... However, it has been a good place for students for combine study...... a fresh study in open-air...... wind is damn blowing there.........


I created a Webaroo Gup Shup SMS group for my class..... It's DCEC2010.... I have not invited anybody so far..... I will do it soon......

26-04-2008, Saturday - CUSAT First year results republished

A happy news for the guys who awaited the results of CUSAT First year is now at its good... Yea, it's been published... Some of our guys have secured the pass marks n some other got improved.... But still mine reamins the same....

However, I couldn't log on to the net for last two days... So I had to end it up with ma Hard diary here.... hehehe.. lol.... It's a surprise for me itself that I wasn't a mouse-potato atleast for last two days.... I could do it... Ah me......!!!!


We all here had for the movie "Annan Thambi"... Nice film.. about 22 Crucians... Najeeb was also there.... We reached here late night.... It was on thursday after the exam; at Mavelikkara Santhosh.

On Friday I got up very late... lol... as always..... I went to MH and remained there that day.... Coz, I was very late to have food at night and Ajmal went before I completed my task with Chilly chicken.... However, I decided to be here... Prince says that I was not brave enoough to go to Crown alone... lol.... it was a truth indeed, which I never like to admit.... hehehhe....


He mailed me reagarding the updates that have been made in ma webpage... He says that it's not good to include such online radio, etc. in a web page..... He's asked me to remove it.... Yea, as he remarks, I am gonna do it..... But, not now.... later after the exams.....

Now, I am writing this being at MH... Amal is also with me... We are gonna have food from somewhere...... Had a very good time at MH.....

21-04-2008, Monday - COA Exam

For the first time ever in my life, I attended a public examination with below 20% preparation. Even if I don't study these days, I would be prepared for the exams, at least just to pass... Today that too didn't happen.... Amal also told me that the exam was very bad for him..... I thought that he would have prepared much. He wonders if he fails in the exam, even!!!!

Today Vasu asked me about the exams. Actually I dunno why I become not comfortable when speaking to him these days.... I just didn't hear him much; But, I couldn't help answering him..... You know, he's one of the persons whom I like most; but still........... he's to change a lot to fit the needs of his friends, I suppose.


Now, Rahul.... another guy like Vasu, whom I... Ok....ok........ I would better not to say it here... I think he's pretending to be like this... actually he's a soft guy with a soft heart... But, I doubt if he's pretending to be harsh in front of me...... I dunno....


I met Jofin today at Brothers'. He told me that the Principal would never assent to organize SUMMIT at Kottayam Mammen Mappilai Hall... He said, "Principal has told Biju Sir (our Senate adviser) that it's not possible to conduct it at Kottayam. Ask them to resubmit a detailed proposal with schedule and a detailed Committee list..... Then Sanoop asked him what the problem he pointed out; then Biju sir told that there's no other reason from the Principal, other than 'it's not possible to conduct SUMMIT '08 at Kottayam".

Now, I remember the last SUMMIT incidents.... Sam Mathew chetan, all students' dear friend and all, who was very polite and friendly to all, beloved by all..... he caught in an accident and the Almighty was not kind enough to him..... This happened on the way back from Mammen Mappilai Hall after the roll back of SUMMIT 2005. This was a shock to the entire college, I heard. This also would have been considered for the Principal to take such a decision this time, I presume.



At first of all discussions, I was not biased: I mean, I couldn't determine my choice where to conduct SUMMIT. Some people suggested our college itself and Kottayam some other. Later, I became for for Kottayam. But now, as I understand the limitations of space etc in Kottayam, I doubt if I am becoming for for the college.... How ever, leave it to the decisions of the Principal.....


Today also IPL.... they are really rocking..........
